When and where is the wedding?

Sunday, August 27th, 2023 @ 4 PM on the Great Lawn of Mission Point Resort overlooking the straights of Mackinac, Island. Followed by cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing in The Cypress Room at Mission Point Resort. An afterglow will be held at The Pink Pony for those still standing.

For those making a weekend of it, join us for welcome drinks on Saturday, August 26th @ 7:30 PM on the dock of the The Hotel Iroquois Carriage House.

How do I get to Mackinac Island?

Visit our Travel + Stay page for how to get to Mackinac Island (read: NOT Mackinaw City, which is located across the straights). Once you ferry across to the island, transportation is by horse drawn carriage, bike, or by foot—no cars.

Where do I rest my weary head? Do I have to stay on the island?

While we wholeheartedly encourage you to stay on Travel & Leisure’s #1 Best Island in the Continental US, we understand you may want to make other plans. Visit our Travel + Stay page for hotel room blocks and more suggestions on where to stay. As the island fills up quickly, we recommend booking your accommodations ASAP! If you are staying off-island, we will have a special Shepler’s ferry leaving at 11:30 PM from the island. We suggest you get on it, or you’ll be sleeping on the dock.

What’s the dress code?

In keeping with the elegant ‘Somewhere in Time’ theme of Mackinac Island, think formal/cocktail attire and nautical vibes…with a flair of BS whimsy.

Weather permitting, the ceremony will be outdoors (read: on the grass - stilettos beware) with reception indoors. The island cools off at night-a light jacket or shawl is recommended.

Can I bring a plus one?

Is this an Adults-Only Wedding?

We love your kids but thought you might like a night off for relaxation and uninhibited revelry. Adults only please!

However, we understand a destination wedding can make things tricky. Please shoot Brad or Sarah a text or give us a ring to discuss details. 

Will Mission Point honor my dietary restrictions?

You betcha! As it gets closer, we’ll be gathering meal selections and taking all dietary restrictions, intolerances, and sensitivities into account.
